The current COVID19 health crisis has necessitated the temporary suspension of all public performances and classes. Across the globe, people of different faiths, different backgrounds, different colors and different creeds are all experiencing and coping with these extraordinary circumstances in ways that reflect the unique richness of their culture and, at the same time, their similarities to ourselves as human beings.
Arts of Tolerance, together with our parent organization Rice University's Boniuk Institute, has compiled a diverse online resource containing performances and classes by our community partners who themselves represent different parts of the world. Among them are included our artistic partner Silkroad Ensemble (founded by legendary cellist YoYo Ma) and Afro-Cuban Master Dancer Alexis Zanety.
With these resources, we hope that you can stay moving at home with classes in dance and meditation - including classical, flamenco, salsa, African styles, yoga and more - and find peace, comfort and inspiration through music.
We sincerely hope that these online resources will help you to stay engaged, enriched and uplifted as we weather COVID19 together.
